Lindsay offers dressage and flatwork training which involves a multi-faceted approach to developing both horse and rider to their full potential. Sessions may involve some groundwork or in-hand work where appropriate, and will always focus on the long term health and soundness of your horse.
Lindsay doesn't use gagdets or coercive training methods, and is committed to training every horse and rider ethically and effectively. Your lessons will incorporate rider position work and also specific exercises for your horse to improve his patterns of natural asymmetry, release restrictions and target weak areas in his body.
Lindsay also coaches riders and their horses, integrating a wealth of knowledge gained from the tutelage of some of the world's most respected trainers including Angela Weiss, Manolo Mendez, Andrew McLean, Charles de Kunffy and Philippe Karl. Her eclectic and fascinating approach to wellness draws inspiration from all facets of her broad spectrum of experience; an important part of the education for both horse and rider is in-hand and ground work to develop understanding, posture, movement patterns and also develop capacity for enhanced performance and optimum biomechanical function.
Her work has absolute respect for the horse as its core principle; no aspect of her training is coercive, forceful or damaging for the integrity of the horse or rider. Ridden work is tailored absolutely to the individual needs of you and your horse; you'll learn to understand all the necessary steps to recreate success when you are riding on your own and develop your sense of timing and feel.
Training with Lindsay is available here at Equipilates™ HQ; a small and intimate training facility which offers an ideal environment for concentrated learning. Lindsay is a passionate and inspiring teacher and training is available for every horse and rider at any level.
