"Rachel is an inspirational and generous teacher, and encourages you to find and develop your own relationship to the discipline. Learning is made interactive and exciting, and the whole experience encompasses so much more than I had expected. Thoroughly recommended."

"I found my Pilates training with Rachel very thorough, interesting and informative. It was more far reaching and mind opening than I had expected. Potential trainees should expect to be physically, mentally and emotionally challenged. I suggest they prepare themselves for some hard work. I have also found the support and encouragement from Rachel and other trainees during and since qualifying invaluable. I think it would be hard to find all these qualities in other training programmes.”
C. Symonds 2005
" The training was a life changing experience for me, as it developed my maturity and self awareness greatly. The vast amount of information was easily turned into knowledge with the support from my mentors and fellow students.” C Hadjigeorgiou 2007
“A very testing course for a complete beginner working with bodies, but with continual guidance and support from Rachel
.
I was constantly encouraged to push my own boundaries out & in the end succeeded well beyond my own expectations.”

“After many successful yet stressful years working in the legal field, I decided to embark on a new path and enrolled on the 12-month matwork training course run by Rachel Rafiefar of The Thoughtful Body Studio in Derby.
The course was one of the most intensive I have ever experienced, bearing in mind my years at University and legal training. However I also found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences – I made new discoveries about myself and learned to look at people and the world generally in a different light.
The quality of the teaching, mentoring and support provided was second to none and I continue to consult the course materials on a regular basis. Whilst the training remains true to the original teachings of Joseph Pilates, students are also encouraged to imprint their own personality on their classes – something which I believe is vital if you want to set your own class apart from others.
I am now a busy mum of an active toddler, but have the flexibility and satisfaction of running a growing Pilates business as well as helping others to re-discover their bodies!”

“I just wanted to say a thank you for getting me through to becoming a qualified teacher. I feel I have a huge amount of knowledge, skills and reference material to draw upon to continue growing and improving as a Pilates teacher and to help me pass the “magic” on to others.
The positive feedback I have had from clients already have been quite astonishing to me!! This means I am growing in confidence and feeling very excited about the future. Also, other experience d teachers in the industry have already shown high regard and respect for my capabilities knowing that I have completed such a comprehensive training.”
