Advanced Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer™ 07775 854581 Jo is qualified in mat work & equipment Pilates and is an Equipilates biomechanics trainer. She is also a Sports & Remedial massage therapist, trained by the London School of Sports Massage. Jo has ridden since she was 6, evented with the Pony Club through to her teens and then competed on University teams. Jo had a break from riding for 10 years and came back to it 'properly' (!) 5 years ago. She now has a gorgeous 5 year old Dun mare, Sugar, that she is bringing on to event. Jo came to Pilates through personal back issues in her early twenties; it's impact of her was life changing and she has now neen practising for 15 years. Jo qualified to teach clinical Pilates 10 years ago, choosing to teach in order to share the amazing benefits she experienced first hand with other people and to help them to self manage their issues. Jo teaches Pilates around Winchester and other areas in Hampshire through her business Glopilates. Jo's 1:1 work supports people with injuries or postural deviations and she is passionate about helping them recover and be their best. Jo has a really inclusive teaching style and her classes are welcoming to people of all abilities. Knowing how critical pelvic and wider biomechanical function is to effective riding and horse wellbeing and how often related issues go unrecognised, Jo teaches Equipilates to help riders to get the most from their partnership with their horse. The Equipilates method has made an huge difference to Jo's own riding; improving fluidity, consistency and straightness of her seat and clarity of her aids. The training has equipped her with specific on horse postural awareness and an incredible toolkit via which to correct herself in the saddle. Jo's mission is to share these incredibly empowering techniques with as many riders as possible! Jo offers 1:1 assessments, group Equipilates classes, educational talks and rider biomechanics workshops in Hampshire and the surrounding areas. |
