Lindsay Wilcox-ReidIf you'd like to train with 'biomechanics in balance' for both you and your horse, I would love to help you!
I'm an educator, author and international speaker with more than twenty years' experience of coaching riders. I train and compete horses up to advanced levels in dressage and I am absolutely dedicated to promoting ethical training principles and bringing the biomechanics and musculature of each individual horse and rider combination together in harmony. It's been said I'm able to show you how to open doors, both within yourself and your horse, which may have seemed forever locked! When I'm working with riders and horses, I'm considering the rider's body and mind whilst incorporating correct development of the horse according to classical principles and learning theory, with the latest developments in equitation science. I love to learn and work to constantly improve my own riding and coaching; I train regularly with Manuela McLean of Equitation Science International and Team GB rider Gareth Hughes. I take referals from other equestrian professionals (trainers, equine physios, vets and saddle fitters) to help their clients with postural issues which can affect the horse in ways ranging from difficulty with lateral movements in one direction to persistent saddle fit problems or lameness caused by poor rider balance/alignment. You can travel to Equipilates™ HQ to train, either for individual lessons, overnight training breaks or for the two-day 'Biomechanics in Balance' clinics. Alternatively if you'd like to organise a clinic at your venue, get in touch to discuss more details. Lindsay's current horses

Train with LindsayLessons with Lindsay last around 50 minutes and are £55.
Stabling is available here for your horse if you would like to come for the day and combine ridden sessions with studio work, or stay overnight and have more than one lesson. (£20 per night including Swish bedding but no forage). Clinics are available in the local area- contact us for more info. Our sponsorsI am proud to be supported by Saracen Horse Feeds. I have fed Saracen to my horses for a number of years and have always been so impressed with how the horses look and perform; each horse's diet is carefully managed due to their differing needs, with regular checks and tweaks by our fabulous area Saracen Nutrition Advisor Kate Hayward. All of the horses are on Essential Balancer, Super Fibre Cubes and Releve cubes according to work levels and energy required. An extra hard working session usually leads to some yummy Re-Covery Mash as a well -earned treat! Our horses are always super comfortable and are gratefully supported in their stables on Swish bedding. We switched over onto Swish from shavings during a particularly vile winter, when the bedding bill, the muckheap and the amount of time Lindsay spent on both mucking out and complaining about the mucking out simply became too huge! We've never looked back. The bill, the muckheap and the mucking out time have drastically reduced. Win-win!
