Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer™ www.birdwavepilates.co.uk 0784 6067502 Mahani has been practising Pilates since 2001 when her physiotherapist recommended it to her as a way of managing knee issues. The knee specialist suggested surgery to resolve the issue, however Mahani was determined to explore all avenues to avoid surgery and is convinced that it is because of Pilates that the surgery was not necessary. Leading a physically active lifestyle as a very keen horse rider, an enthusiastic golfer and a qualified PADI Divemaster, puts a lot of demand on the human body. Mahani passionately believes that Pilates has allowed her to pursue these physically demanding activities and was the main driver to qualify to teach Pilates and to share her own experience on how to tap into the fundamentals of Pilates to strive for the physical wellbeing of each individual. Mahani offers enthusiasm in abundance and empathy which is unique to each person so they can improve their mobility and quality of life, regardless of their background, age and fitness level. Mahani started riding as a mature rider in 2007 but for a long time could not quite link her Pilates knowledge and experience to directly relate it to her horse riding, even though she had good mobility and core strength. In Equipilates™ she has finally found the missing link! Mahani is very proud to have qualified as an Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer™ and is also a founding member of the Body Control Pilates Academy. In addition Mahani is a member of the Body Control Pilates Association (BCPA) as well as a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). She is very excited to be able to offer help to riders who are in a learning environment and those who need support in building confidence and are passionate about improving by using the tried and proven techniques that has benefited her and improved her own riding. |
