Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer™ www.bournefield.co.uk 07809 170 147 Megan graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1999 from the University of Bradford. She worked in the NHS for 2 years and then joined the British Army where she specialised in sports injuries and musculoskeletal rehabilitation at DMRC Headley Court. She studied at the Royal Veterinary College receiving a Masters degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2006. Megan has been running Bournefield Animal Rehabilitation Centre for over 10 years where she treats, trains and rides. It became increasingly apparent to her that riders with poor posture and asymmetries were having some major influences on their horses’ way of going and so her interest in biomechanics grew. Megan completed her Equipilates Biomechanics Trainer qualification in 2016 in order to assess and treat both horse and rider fully. Prior to having children Megan successfully competed in British Eventing up to FEI 2star level. More recently she has taken to the dressage arena and has been competitive at Regional Championships at Medium level. She is hoping to get back eventing with a homebred horse in 2017. |
